How the heck are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?
My daughter, Michelle, is a bit of a stickler about how her sheets are folded. It extends to towels as well. Whenever a load of sheets and towels comes out of the laundry, she must be the one to fold them. AND, they must be folded in a specific way.
The bottom/fitted sheet is problematic, however, because it isn’t flat. It defies folding in a neat and easy way. You have to work at it to get it perfectly folded, if you ever can.
It got me to thinking…perfect is often the enemy of the good. Many of us strive for perfection in our work, our homes, our relationships, and when that perfection is just out of reach, we either obsess, give up or complain, and in that way ruin a perfectly good situation!
What does this mean for you? Think about the things that you want out of life, but are waiting for the “perfect” moment. Then take a step back and ask yourself what is really important? Is it important to take some kind of action, or just wait for the perfect circumstance to take action. In the thought between the perfect and the good, you may find what you are looking for.
