Thinking Big

I am in Lansing Michigan today, addressing the Michigan Chapter of the International Warehouse Logistics Association (IWLA). Attending regional meetings always gives me the opportunity to spend time with Joel Anderson, the CEO of IWLA. He has been a coaching client of mine for about 3 years now, and the relationship is one that continually challenges both of us to think big.

Thinking big means getting out of the day to day to take time to reflect on the strategic rather than tactical issues. It is going beyond the tyranny of the usual to do the unusual.
Michael Port recently released “The Think Big Manifesto”. In it he challenges the reader to be a game changer in their life and in the lives of others.
What games have you changed recently? Take some time today to step back from the day to day and focus on the next month, year, decade. Where do you want to be? What do you want to do?
Then ask yourself: “What’s stopping me?”
